Senior Building Surveyor – Job Overview

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Chartered Building Surveyor to join a growing business at an exciting stage of development. The role offers a varied and engaging workload, including dilapidations (acting for both landlords and tenants), party wall work, project-based refurbishments and improvements, schedules of condition, specification writing, and full contract administration duties. You’ll work closely with clients across a mix of sectors and will take ownership of projects from inception to completion. There is also a genuine opportunity to build your own team, grow a client base, and step into a leadership role within the consultancy.

Senior Building Surveyor – Job Requirements

  • Chartered Building Surveyor (MRICS) – essential
  • Minimum 5 years’ post-qualification experience in building surveying
  • Strong technical knowledge across dilapidations, party wall matters, specification writing, contract administration, and project work
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage clients and stakeholders confidently
  • A proactive and organised approach, with the ability to work independently and mentor junior surveyors
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to sites across London and the South East
